This site is a tribute to Betty (Elizabeth). Our lovely mum. Missed beyond words 💜

Mum was born in Forres, Scotland in 1942, she was one of eight children.

Mum came to Leeds in the early 1960’s and raised her 6 children as a single parent. She also brought up her eldest grandson from the age of 6 weeks.

Mum was ours and we were hers - all we had was each other.

Mum became ill in the middle of 2021 and in the July was given weeks to live after being diagnosed with Lung Cancer.

Mum was a fighter, and in typical ‘Betty’ style, she fought for 5 months and 2 days.

Mum was admitted to St Gemmas on the 3rd December and heartbreakingly passed away on the 16th December.

The staff at St Gemmas, every single one of them, were absolute angels! They cared for mum with the upmost respect.

Me and my sister were with mum when she passed, she was at peace and free from this awful disease.

She was our mum and dad in one! She is missed by all her 7 children and their families 💜🖤
